More srestling on the ground with the ball and correct ball placement
Ball placement: with clear out. groups of three in a line. middle man (with ball) places the ball in one direction, this person is the defender, and then places the ball in the other direction. Man on thr ground places the ball awafy from the body and the support gets past the ball carrier, not over the ball
Drills to complete: Tackling lies. Defenders are on their knees as runners come up to them. Tackler gets the head on the hip takes him down and gets to his feet. as he gets to his feet the first support clears out (1/2 paced) third person icks up and continues. Tackled player becomes the tackler and stays on his knees and the previous tackler joins the group.
Running into contact with chudder step. passing lines of 4 people. Ball is passed from the gound to the 1st receiver who creates a drift out line or a cut lin line (slight angle change or sharp cut) and gives the ball to one of two otptions. that person runs to one of two bags standing bags and at the last minute makes a chudder step away from bag into a bag hoder, hits drives and goes to deck. support arrives to clear out, third person picks up runs and complets the passing lines all the while moving in the same direction. focus is on: correct lines of running and support, chudder step away from defender (standing bag, ang keep the ball in both hands until going into contact. When in contact the ball gets shifted away from defender.
Setting the defese:
Keys are: inside defender (post) establishes off side line by rasing his arm and yells out launch when ball is out. Defenders thak an inside out path to their man and come up together, hit the defender with correct technique, go to ground, quickly get to their feet, and retreat back to the new offside line without backing up.
