U12 @ Peninsula 3/7/10

The Cavaliers started the game right and was able to spin the ball wide for the first try.  They demonstrated good ability to handle the ball.  Very impressive first five minutes.  Peninsula scored next and appeared to get their legs underneath them.  The Opposition had some big boys who like running it up hard.  So do we.  Jack Reynolds and Ryan McCool did an outstanding job of running the ball up and making tackles.

The difference in the game was Peninsula's ability to win their own ball back at the rucks.  We failed to commit players to the rucks, opting instead to look at the ball being lost.  If we can't win the ball back we can't score.

During the course of the game we were able to score three trys.  Unfortunately our opposition scored 6 trys.  However lessons lost are lessons learned.

Other standouts performances included Paul Campa who played # 10.  He did a good job of calling his plays and running the ball.
